Five-A-Day: a funny and unconventional book about ‘nutrition’

Poor Hugo, he is scared of vegetables! He knows them to be vicious and evil! They must be out there to get us, revenge for all the stew, fried, cooked, chopped, boiled…. How does Hugo manage to dodge the five- a- day bullet? They won’t allow him to live off chocolate and cheese! They, are his mother, his mean aunt, basically all the gown- ups.

If only Hugo would have a good friend!

Finally Hugo is lucky and the beautiful Ophelia is moving in next door. Love at first sight, Ophelia and Hugo go food hunting!

Five-A-Day is a story that might help our children navigate through our complex world where black and white answers are not working any more. We parents buy books for our children in the hope that they will love to read, but we should also give them the greatest gift of all: a sense of humour. Five-A-DAY  is aimed at all children who feel different and out of place, something that we perhaps can all relate to, at some point in our lives.
